Nature Field Trip Report In Toraja

Hay………….

Welcome back to my blog. And this is my second blog, previously, I have posted my trip about marine trip in dutungan island and paputo beach. And, now I post again about nature field trip in toraja.

Well, i did trip in toraja during 3 days and 2 night at 21-23 october 2019.

In first day, as usually before going to toraja I and my friends gather in orange building. I was so excited why because this trip in toraja which the panorama view is so beautiful. Eventhough I ever visit toraja but, I never feel bored.  we start our trip from campus or Makassar tourism polytechnic to toraja and took around 10 hours. we have lunch in KUPA BEACH RESTAURANT, the one of restaurants in barru and we continue the trip and we enjoy erotic mountain in bonto kabobbo in enrekang by coffee break. Along the way I enjoy the view and also see how beautiful ricefield is where I never see anyway. I am from wakatobi, an island in southeast Sulawesi which there is no ricefield, so I was so excited when I see that along the way to toraja. And during on bus, we just guiding, singing together and dancing happily. We arrived in toraja and check in indra hotel arround 06.30 p.m and then we prepare to have dinner shortly in ayam penyet ria restaurant in toraja.





In second day, that was our experience begin. We started trekking at 07.00 a.m. we trekking with visiting traditional house of toraja (tongkonan), animals of toraja (tedong), and we saw rituals of toraja, baby grave, etc. all day we only tracked. Eventhough it was so tired but I and my friends really enjoyed hat. after did soft trekking  we had lunch in mentori tiku restaurant. and then we continue trekking. I like trekking because I can see directly ricefield and also take a walk in ricefield. i always dream when I was little to go to ricefield as I saw in television. Even when I was little i always painted the ricefield when the my teacher asked me to paint. So I was excited when I was in ricefield. beside that , we visit erong Lombok parinding which there are many erong (wooden grave). To get erong Lombok parinding we take a walk so far, I was so tired but after getting erong Lombok parinding feeling tired lost. I was interested the place which I can see wooden grave that It is different from common grave. And the place which interesting is baby grave. I was curious about this because that it the grave of baby under 6 month, toraja people think that the baby under 6 month is holy so that’s why baby grave is different from the others. after trekking all day we come back to hotel and prepare  to have dinner in aras cafe the best cafe in toraja.








In third day, before coming back to Makassar we had breakfast in indra hotel and then leaving hotel at 07.00 a.m. before leaving toraja we visit in lakipadada statue who one of heroes of toraja and we visit store of coffee toraja, there we learn about coffee of toraja which has good and different taste from other. And then we headed bonto kabobo to enjoy erotic mountain and continue to teras empang to have lunch in parepare and then have dinner in suka-suka restaurant in maros.








During trip I got many lessons and of course many experiences which I never got anyway. I was so excited did trip because this is a good opportunity for me to be able to go around toraja regency. enjoying the panorama natural and know more culture in toraja. See and visit directly some of places. I am interested about the culture and history of Indonesia, so this time for me to learn more that. I did like in toraja is because the culture is still sustainable and one of it is rambu solo.

The one of places I wanna visit in toraja is buntu burake. That is the statue of yesus. But, unfortunately I and my friends did not go there because of any reason. The majority of the population in toraja are Christians which they respect they god namely yesus. They think it is impolite if yesus was become statue like that.  But because for purpose which I don’t know exactly, finally inhabitant of toraja allow to build the statue. So that’s why it makes me curious about the statue. And the location of the statue is so high which we can see how beautifull toraja regency is from there.

Marine Field Trip Report In Dutungan Island And Paputo Beach

Hello good morning………
I’ll want to tell to you my experience during did tour in dutungan island. I am wiwik prihastiwi the student of Makassar tourism polytechnic semester 3rd. this is my first  post and I hope you like this blog. And maybe I’ll always post when I do tour.
Dutungan island is one of island in south Sulawesi which you can visit beside snorkeling also diving you can do there. Dutungang island is known as the island which has the beautifull view and has beauty sea with there are many corals  you can see when you are diving. many visitors had visited the island because it is so beautifull.


So, this is my experience during did tour in dutungan island.
well, we did tour on 5-6 october 2019.
during trip a lot of experience I got and of course a lot of lessons too. In that tour I was so excited because that tour is marine tour which we did tour in dutungan island, the one of islands in south Sulawesi in barru regency exactly. So, we the student of Makassar tourism polytechnic have done tour many times anyway, escpecially travelers student like us.
So, every time when we are gonna do tour, we always gather in the campus at 06.00 A.M. we start from campus, Makassar tourism polytechnic and during on the bus we have to explain the topic which we have got. And the topic relate with the city will be passed and relate with dutungan island.
I got the topic about the history of maros the one of regencies in south Sulawesi which border on Makassar city. My friends had explain their topic and now my turns to explain, but because we were still in Makassar so I sang and played games to entertain my friends on the bus. Until we were in maros I started explaining my topic.
Going to dutungan island we started from Makassar city - maros regency - pangkep regency - barru regency. Makassar to barru regencies takes about 3 hours. In barru regency we went to tanjung indah doc, the harbour in barru regency.  to arrive in dutungan island we have to across by taking a boat around 5 minutes. And then we changed our clothes and listened to the dive instructor before diving.  “This time which I really dream it since years ago” I said. I was so excited because that was my firs time I dived. I could use the equipment of dive and then started diving I really enjoy that. I could see the beauty of sea . after diving I continued snorkeling with my friends. After doing that we change our clothes and then played a games before going to parepare regency.




In parepare city, we went to delima sari hote to check in. I was so surprised because I and my 4 friends got a room family which that was the best room If compare with my friends’s room which there is a room in the room. I like doing tour because I have a opportunity to stay in hotel and could use the hotel facilities and got a meal and of course can visit many tourist attraction for free.
In the evening, after checking and taking a bath we went to ria penyet reastaurant for dinner. As I said before this always I wait for during trip because I could get a meal for free. after having dinner we prepare our material to presentate in front of my lecturer and my friends. And at the same times I and my group sang for entertaining my friend because every group have to show their performance.



After doing many activities all day, I and my friends back to room to sleep. In that tour, I got a task namely have to wake my friend at 04.30 A.M. and at 06.00 A.M we exercised morning by jogging to habibie and ainun monument. The famous monument in parepare also in south Sulawesi.

After that at 08.30 A.M we started going to paputo beach, there we observed all of things in paputo beach. After observing paputo beach, I considered that you have to visit paputo beach because has beautiful view and has good spot photo you can take a picture.


After that we went to teras empang restaurant for having lunch, and the meal there is so delicious and the decorated of that restaurant is unique. All of my friends after having lunch their take a picture bacause the decorate and the view is so beautiful.
After having lunch in teras empang we back to Makassar. I and my friends really enjoyed the  trip because that trip was different from  trip before.
